Mike Brock points out that the LPC are coporate whores

Mike Brock at Brock on the Attack points out that the Liberal Party regularly sells itself to big business especially big business which happens to be located in Montreal on a rather regular basis. While by comparison the Conservative warchest is funded by the lot of us plucky plebs. This is simply one of those instances where you wonder how the left wing of the liberal party can keep a straight face while they pretend to be helping people, or alternatively how severely deluded they must be.

Actually, this also makes me quite hopefully for upcoming elections. Unless the current election finance regulations are ammended or repealed the Liberals will never be able to amass their horde of corporate money again. Which of course puts us in a relatively stronger position in the campaign. I have a sneaking suspicion that's exactly what Chretien was going for.
