What Muslims think we're doing on Christmas
(via Michael Totten)The misconception that seems to exist in the Arab world that North Americans and Europeans have sex with other men's wives on Christmas. Totten apparantly encountered the belief in Libya while travelling. He points this out as a Saudi cleric Shaykh Salih Fawzan al-Fawzan has been ranting in the Middle Eastern Media that the tsunami was Allah's vengence on these country's in Asia where the perversity and fornification of Christmas is tolerated at various resorts.
I think the Shiek missed a memo on Christianity being down on sex, and hasn't the faintest of clues how Christmas is normally practiced. It would seem he's either read one too many leftist accounts of the deviancy of the bourgoise in the 1960s, or he considers the pass times of a sex tour in Bangcock to be representative of how all vacationers spend Christmas.
But seriously if that's what Christmas is all about, I've been missing out.
